Bellafontaine Estate

Project Description:
Bellefontaine emerges from the dry California landscape in a glowing palette of organic gold, sage, ocher, cream and cypress. Skillfully situated along a ridge so that every window has a stunning view of the Los Angeles cityscape clear to Santa Monica and the Pacific Ocean, this family estate echoes the rich details and flowing lines of the country villas built by the noble families of the Italian Renaissance. The designers' careful attention to detail and a respect for the villa's natural surroundings have resulted in a home of harmoniously Zen proportions and wonderfully designed grounds.

The magnificently soaring entrance foyer features custom flooring inlays designed by DRI, Inc., as well as custom furnishings, florals and lighting. The Austrian crystal chandelier shimmers below a gorgeous ceiling mural by Roberto. The custom stair railings and walls also feature specialty finishes by Tichy Designs.

The formal dining room in the main house is a symphony of rich, yet muted colors, including gold, sage and aubergine. The elegant faux finishes and ceiling mural of butterflies by Tichy Designs and Brett Blackman provide the background for E.J. Victor furniture and window treatments. The Schoenbeck lighting display for the dining room resulted in a National Lighting Award for Deanna Robinson Interiors, Inc. in 2004.

The entertainment-oriented guest house, located on a ridge above the main house, represents sophisticated Napa Valley-inspired design. Rich colors and textures are used throughout on comfortable, eclectic furnishings. The warm tonalities of the interior are juxtaposed against stunning views of the nearby mountains and Tuscan-inspired gardens and loggia outside. A state-of-the-art media system, custom pool table and professionally-equipped kitchen guarantee an unforgettable experience for each guest.
